Smart PDF Reader & Viewer uses Android’s Storage Access Framework, also known as the secure folder picker, to access PDF files. The app does not request all-files access and does not automatically scan the entire device storage.

Users choose which folders the app can access, such as Downloads, Documents, WhatsApp Documents, or other folders that contain PDF files. The app scans PDF files only from folders selected by the user.

The app may access:

PDF files from selected folders

File names

Folder names or document locations

File size and modified date

Reading progress for PDFs opened in the app

User-created bookmarks, favorites, pinned files, and recycle bin data

2. How Your Information Is Used

The app uses this information only for core app functionality, including:

Building your PDF library from selected folders

Showing recent PDF files

Remembering reading progress

Enabling search and sorting

Allowing rename, share, delete, and restore actions

Displaying document categories and organization tools

3. Local Processing

Smart PDF Reader & Viewer is designed to work mainly on your device. PDF indexing, bookmarks, favorites, pinned files, recent history, recycle bin records, selected folder references, and reading progress are stored locally on the device to support the app experience.

We do not require account creation for the basic use of the app.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not upload your PDF documents for normal app use.

We do not share your files with third parties unless you explicitly choose to use the share feature from within the app.

When you use the share feature, the selected PDF file is shared only with the app or service you choose.

5. Permissions and Folder Access

Smart PDF Reader & Viewer does not use MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission and does not request all-files access.

The app uses Android’s secure folder picker to let users choose folders they want the app to access. Users can add, change, or remove selected folders from the app settings. The app supports multiple selected folders.

Folder access is used only to scan and display PDF files from folders selected by the user.

The app may also use internet and network access for advertising and related service functionality if ads are enabled.

6. Advertising

Smart PDF Reader & Viewer may show ads, including banner ads and interstitial ads. Ads may be provided by third-party ad networks such as Google AdMob. These services may collect limited technical information such as device identifiers, app interactions, and ad performance data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Children’s Privacy

Smart PDF Reader & Viewer is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the issue.
